On February 7th, Kyle Yorlets was gunned down right outside of his home in what Tennessee police are calling an attempted robbery.

The 24-year-old rising music star was able to run back inside of his home after getting shot. His roommate found him in critical condition and rushed him over to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Tragically, he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Investigators quickly determined that a group of youngsters had shot Yorlets after attempting to rob him. They have determined that the suspects took Yorlets’ wallet and were attempting to take the keys to his vehicle when he refused. They shot him and then fled the scene. Witnesses told police the kids were in a red pickup truck, which was later determined to be stolen.

The suspects have all been identified, but police are not releasing any names because they are all minor children. The suspects include two boys, ages 13 and 16, and three girls, ages 12, 14 and 15.

The group of youngsters were all tracked down the same night at a local Walmart. The kids still had the murder weapon with them. In all, police found two stolen firearms and two stolen vehicles with the kids. The were all taken to a juvenile detention center.

According to local prosecutors, police are considering trying all of the five kids as adults for this horrific crime. When they appeared at their initial hearing, it was determined that all five children are runaways who were currently listed as missing from Youth Services.
