About one year ago on March 29, 2018, 38-year-old John Ford came into the United States from Canada. He was holding a non-immigrant B-2 visa, which means he was never authorized to spend more than six months in the country.

Despite this, Ford has repeatedly made headline news for apparently stalking Kendall Jenner. The first time he was arrested for trespassing on Jenner’s home. More recently, he was convicted of trespassing again when Kendall Jenner discovered Ford swimming in her backyard pool. The man eventually stumbled out of the pool and wound up on Jenner’s porch. The scary incident was promptly reported to the police. In both instances, Ford served jail time for illegally going onto her property.

The disturbing stalking events led Jenner to pursue a protection order against Ford. In a statement regarding the ordeal, Jenner’s family explained how the stalker’s actions have “had a severe impact on Kendall’s life.” The family became increasingly concerned about the safety of the ultra-famous television star. Both the police department and Jenner’s family feared that Ford’s irrational behavior could escalate into future violence.

Upon hearing about the suspect’s most recent arrest, ICE agents realized that Ford was not even in the country legally. His visa had expired many months prior. They immediately began searching for him. Agents received a tip that Ford was in New Mexico, and they eventually tracked him down at a hotel. Now, Ford is in ICE custody in El Paso. He’s currently awaiting a deportation hearing.
