First, you must determine your eligibility to request a copy. In Florida, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- You are the person named on the certificate, and you are at least 18 years old.
- You are the parent, legal guardian or lawyer of the person named in the birth record.
- You have courtordered permission.
